Who was Brianna Kupfer?
Brianna Kupfer was known as a 24-year-old UCLA grad student who worked at the high-end furniture store Croft House, in Los Angeles.
Prior to UCLA, she graduated from Brentwood High School and the University of Miami.
Kupfer was reportedly studying architectural design and working at the store as a design consultant.
What was her cause of death?
She was discovered by a customer 20 minutes later but pronounced dead on the scene, according to Fox 11.
She is survived by her mother Lori, two brothers, Brandon and Tucker, her sister Mikaela, and father Todd, who has spoken about the heinous attack.
Who killed Brianna Kupfer?
LAPD has identified and arrested suspect Shawn Laval Smith aged 31.
According to TMZ, Smith was apprehended by Pasadena officers on Wednesday afternoon when a civilian identified him from his wanted poster.
He was handcuffed at a bus stop, according to Fox News.
Prior to the arrest, investigators claimed he was captured on video in chilling footage showing him calmly buying a vape pen from a 7-Eleven just 30 minutes after the murder.
In a statement, the LAPD police force said: “He should be considered armed and dangerous.
“If seen, do not approach, call 911.”
The motive for the attack also remains unclear.
