Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has broken silence following her snub at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).
Wendy Shay had quite a number of nominations but failed to win any at the VGMA 22.
Reacting to her snub at the VGMA 22, Wendy Shay revealed that he refused to attend the event because he knew he wouldn’t win any award.
According to the Rufftown Records signee,some artistes are given awards even if they don’t deserve them.
Speaking in an interview on Zylofon FM,Wendy Shay stated that there ate two types of artistes in the Ghanaian music fraternity.
She mentioned artistes in the industry and industry artistes.
Wendy Shay tagged herself as an artiste in the industry.
According to her, the industry artistes are the people’s favourites—and they are pampered.
While she has to work hard to get an award, the Rufftown Records artiste averred industry artistes are given awards even if they do not deserve them.
Wendy Shay added that VGMA and 3Music Awards are just like NDC and NPP.
