The woman who is accused of causing the fatal car crash in Windsor Hills, Los Angeles, on Thursday, which killed six people, has been identified as 37-year-old Nicole Lorraine Linton, the California Highway Patrol revealed on Friday.
According to The Washington Post, Nicole, who is believed to be a nurse from Texas, sustained “moderate injuries” from the incident and has since been taken into custody on suspicion of gross negligence and vehicular manslaughter. One of the victims that the coroner’s office has identified include a 23-year-old pregnant woman named Asherey Ryan from Los Angeles.
A man, two women and another boy were among the casualties who lost their lives in the crash, which was allegedly caused by Nicole speeding through a red traffic and plowing into multiple vehicles in front of her. Nicole’s Mercedes-Benz sudan went flying through the intersection before making contact with two cars exploding into flames within seconds of the collision.
