Lynx Entertainment signee, Dennis Nana Dwamena aka Kidi has angrily reacted to critics for dragging him on social media over his exorbitant fee for his ‘Live With Kidi Concert’ scheduled for July 29, 2021.
Kidi who is currently promoting his ‘Golden boy’ album took to his Twitter to announce the rate for his upcoming concert which ranges from GH¢ 3,000 to GH¢ 15,000.
The tickets ranges from GH¢ 3,000,GH¢5,000,GH¢8,000,GH¢10,000 and GH¢ 15,000.
Announcing this, Kidi wrote on Twitter; Nti mo se 29th July, y3 kor gye y’ani with tables anaa regular tickets. Any way any how biaaaa y3b3 jame still. Nti wonni table sika aa, montor regular tickets for 100 Ghana. Because Golden Boy Jamming no dier 3b3 ba so live. #LiveWithKiDi#TheGoldenBoyAlbum.
Reacting to the prices, Twitter users attacked the ‘Say Cheese’ hitmaker for being inconsiderate.
Some opined that most big artists in the country do not even charge such huge sums of money for their concert.
The attacks got to Kidi to the extent that he reacted by descending on his fans.
He wrote:
The negativity some of you ooze dey bore. If you won’t come, keep scrolling. It’s very simple. If you can’t afford tables there standard ticket prices. You people for stop the negativity smh, he wrote.
Well, Kidi in an interview on Hitz FM explained that there are regular tickets going for GH¢100 and cannot fathom why people are not focusing on that but are rather focusing on the prices of the table.
“There are regular tickets going for GH¢100 but people are not focusing on that.They are focusing on the price of the tables.” Kidi told Andy Dosty in an interview on Hitz FM monitored by alreadyviral.com.
Infuriated Kidi also stated that he is not putting a gun on anyone’s head to pay GH¢ 15,000.
“I am not charging you GHS 15,000. Neither is Lynx charging you. Nobody is putting a gun to your head to pay GHS 15,000. “ kidi fumed.
“If you won’t come for the event, it’s not by force. You really don’t need to spew hate if you are not coming for my event”
“A lot of times, people forget that we are humans – we are not robots – we have emotions too. My comments wasn’t meant to disrespect anybody. What wrong have I done to merit insults after posting a flyer for my event? “ Kidi added.
