The Managing Director of Intercity STC and member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) Nana Akomea has asserted that the majority of Bullion vans operating in Ghana are useful for transporting cloth.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ show, disclosed that banks must pool resources together to buy about ten Bulletproof Bullions if the price is too high for individual institutions.
“Because those pickups with welded back and padlock.It is only good for transporting cloth from Makola to Spintex,not money”
“if a bank needs one,they can sign and use it for the necessary transport” He disclosed.
Nana Akomea’s statement comes on the back of the shooting and demise of policeman, Emmanuel Osei by armed robbers while guarding a Nissan Bullion van owned by Montran.
