The Founder and Leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach popularly known as Ajagurajah Movement in Ghana, Odeefuo Kwabena Asiamah aka Ajagurajah has revealed how Jewish preacher and prophet John the Baptist invented football.
Ajagurajah made this ‘absurd’ revelation in an interview with Maame Grace on the ‘Revelations’ show.
According to all four canonical gospels of the New Testament, as well as the account of the Jewish historian Josephus, John the Baptist was killed on the orders of a local ruler sometime before Jesus’ crucifixion.
The gospels claim the king Herod had him beheaded, and his head put on a platter through the vengeful request of his step-daughter Salome and her mother Herodias.
But no one gives any clue about where John the Baptist’s head—or the rest of his body—ended up.
Well, Ajagurajah believes that the head of John the Baptist was turned into a football as Salome passed it to her mother and her mother also threw it to the crowd who then played the head of the preacher with their legs and hands.
He asserted that football emerged at that moment adding that whoever plays football is literally playing the head of John the Baptist.
Ajagurajah explained that there is ‘spirits’ in football due to the circumstance through which the game emerged.
