Ghanaian-American rapper Vic Mensa arrested with suspected Mushrooms at US Customs

Ghanaian-American rapper Vic Mensa has been arrested by the U.S. Customs agents for having allegedly returned with a stash of mushrooms from his trip from Africa.

According to a report by TMZ, Vic Mensa was taken into custody Saturday at Dulles International Airport outside D.C where he just returned from Ghana.

Law enforcement sources say Vic Mensa was pulled aside for a secondary search and that’s when agents found what they believe are mushrooms.

The customs are still testing the substance they allegedly found to confirm if it’s what they think it is.

The rapper was booked for felony narcotics possession as Psilocybin (the scientific name for Mushrooms) remains a Schedule I substance under federal law although there’s now a push in some states to legalize it.

However,it has already been decriminalized in some countries.

Vic Mensa was recently in Ghana with Chance the Rapper. The pair recently visited the President of Ghana,Nana Akufo-Addo.

The Chicago-born artist has been travelling around Africa for some weeks now to encourage touris.
