NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr. is opening up about mental health. While sharing a motivational post, OBJ recalled his battle with depression and also defended himself against fans criticizing his thoughts on mental health.
The wide receiver shared a lengthy caption and revealed that “after the [2022 Super Bowl], having [my son] Zydn, battling depression and being at such highs n lows at the same point in time put me in a really bad spot.”
OBJ went on to say that when life puts you down, you gotta dust yourself off and try again. He added, “”As an athlete, I hate seeing things about ‘mental illness,’ not to say it’s not real, but deep down inside, I believe the mind can overpower it all. We all go thru shxt. GET UR A** UP n KEEP GOIN!!!!” However, fans quickly criticized OBJ’s blunt mentality on mental health.
