Disturbing Video: Indian man accidentally falls into pot of boiling porridge leading to his death

A man has died of burns after he accidentally fell into a pot of hot porridge made for the Aadi festival at a temple near Palanganatham in Madurai city, India on Friday.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced online which shows the dizzy man named Muthukumar leaning against one of the huge metal pots in which porridge had been made at the Muthu Mariamman temple.

As alarmed workers reached out to him, he lost his balance and fell into the pot of boiling porridge.

Muthukumar struggled to get out of the pot, people overturned it and he fell out

The man suffered severe burns all over his body and although he was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, he died a few hours later.

The Police revealed that preliminary inquiries indicated that Muthukumar had epilepsy.
