Barcelona and Chelsea are reportedly in discussions about several potential transactions, and Barcelona has reportedly made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang available to Chelsea.
According to recent rumors that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also available for transfer, Frenkie de Jong may not be the only player Chelsea’s ongoing negotiations with Barcelona result in.
The two dominant clubs have been in open dialogue for the past month, with Barcelona publicly attempting to recruit Jules Kounde, who the Blues were interested in, as well as Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.
When Chelsea decided to make a bid for De Jong, the two clubs reopened their negotiations, and in the process, they might have found an answer to their striker shortage. Chelsea recently eliminated Azpilicueta from the picture by giving him a two-year contract deal.
According to the Mirror, Barcelona are “desperate to balance their books” and 33-year-old Aubameyang is the most likely candidate to be let go after spending a lot of money on moves for Sevilla center-back Kounde, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, and Leeds United winger Raphinha.
