At least five children have tested positive for monkeypox in the country.
Four of the children are U.S. citizens, with two cases in California and two in Indiana. The most recent case was of an infant that was traveling here from another country and was diagnosed in Washington D.C.
The CDC says that monkeypox can be dangerous for younger children, with a severe risk for children under the age of 8. They said though, data for children is limited due to the disease being relatively new.
